01
Aeration Schedule
Our aeration services are typically performed in the spring and fall seasons. The spring aeration round commences on April 1st and continues until May 15th, contingent upon the onset of late spring's warmer temperatures. The fall aeration period begins on September 1st and extends until mid-October. If you are interested in overseeding your lawn, this timeframe presents an optimal opportunity for that process.
02
Aeration Process
Aeration is a mechanical process that involves removing cylindrical plugs of soil from the turf surface, depositing them on top. We utilize a stand-on aerator equipped with hydraulic down pressure, capable of extracting plugs up to 3-4 inches deep, depending on soil conditions. The machine's width measures 35.5 inches, necessitating a minimum gate width of 36 inches for access to fenced areas.
03
Benefits of Aeration
Aerating your lawn can significantly improve the health of your grass by facilitating better air, water, and nutrient penetration into the soil. This process encourages deeper and stronger root growth, resulting in a more resilient and healthier lawn. Additionally, aeration helps alleviate soil compaction, a condition that can impede root development when the soil becomes tightly packed. By aerating your lawn, you can enhance its overall health and aesthetic appeal.
04
Frequency & Pricing
While there is no preferred time for aeration, we highly recommend performing this service at least once a year. Some customers opt for both spring and fall aeration for optimal results. Our standard aeration service starts at $99.00 for lawns up to 4,000 square feet, with pricing adjustments for larger areas.
